The inspiration for the new A3 was driven by the engineering challenge to create not only a full range loudspeaker that incorporates similar design philosophies found in higher-end Magico offerings but to provide an entry level category that is accessible to a new and wider audience of music enthusiasts.
The A3 enclosure is formed with machined 6061 T6 aircraft grade aluminum and includes a complex internal bracing structure that increases the stiffness and mass of the enclosure while minimizing overall resonance. A calibrated sub-enclosure provides an optimized environment for the midrange driver to operate within and without any interaction from the back wave pressure of the bass drivers. The black brushed aluminum enclosure is lustrous and stands firmly on a 4-point spiked outrigger base which provides perfect coupling to the floor for enhanced dynamic range.

The new A5 is a flagship A-Series model (3 way / 5 driver design) which incorporates the company’s first 5-inch pure midrange driver as well as enhanced midrange and bass driver cone technology. These new advanced cones achieve unprecedented stiffness-to-weight ratio, a key parameter that Magico has pursued over the past 15 years. The massive, sealed enclosure of the A5 is formed entirely of 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum, the same material and construction methods as in Magico’s acclaimed Q-Series. Complex internal bracing helps stiffen the entire enclosure and minimize unwanted resonances and colorations, allowing all drivers to perform with stunning resolution and dynamics. The A5 is finished in an elegant brushed black anodized aluminum with grilles available separately as an option. “The A Series has been a great success in reaching a wider audience,” says Magico’s founder, Alon Wolf. “The A5 builds on that success with a new 5-inch midrange of extraordinary musicality. And the A5 ‘plays larger,’ with powerfully extended dynamic range.”

The knowledge distilled and technological advances gained in the M9 development have been applied to the new S3 which reaps the rewards of those monumental efforts. With new state-of-the-art R&D capabilities, Magico set out to redesign the S3 Mk II loudspeaker to achieve audible improvements in every parameter. With new enclosure, drivers, and coupling system, the S3 accomplishes far more than the initial design brief.
The technologies and construction techniques leveraged in the new S3 achieve a purity of sound and measured performance that surpassed all expectations. The new Magico S3 shatters the boundaries of performance for a speaker in its class.

The new S5 Mk II silhouettes its predecessor however that is where any similarity ends. Significant performance enhancements are realized with the implementation of new and advanced transducer and enclosure designs which have been distilled from the extensive engineering research devoted to the S7.
A newly designed 1-inch Magico Diamond coated Beryllium diaphragm tweeter provides smooth and extended high frequencies along with matching sensitivity, wide dispersion and increased power handling. A robust motor system and long-throw voice coil design enables lower distortion and cutoff frequencies that enhance driver integration with the midrange driver.

Towering over other S-Series models, the S7 is a full range, 3-way loudspeaker that incorporates new tweeter, midrange and bass driver designs which are derived from the engineering triumphs in the M-Pro loudspeaker.

The S7 houses three 10-inch bass drivers that have extremely powerful magnets and ultra-stiff aluminum cones which are capable of producing deep powerful bass frequencies with speed and accuracy.

Our materials science research in the properties and applications of carbon allows the M2 to feature a new monocoque enclosure. Similar in construction technique introduced in the M6, it is formed using multiple layers of carbon fiber adding up to a 3/8” thickness. Similar to the external shell of an F-35 fighter jet, this enclosure construction compared to machined or extruded aluminum parts increases the structural strength-to-weight ratio by a factor of 60, while reducing overall weight by 50% and yielding outer dimensions that are 30% smaller without compromising internal volume. The curved interior and exterior walls minimize internal standing waves and eliminate external diffractions.

In 2014 the introduction of the limited edition M-Project provided a glimpse of the cutting edge designs and advanced technologies that were being developed at Magico. Over the past two years intense research has been dedicated to exploring new methodologies and materials which are now incorporated in the Magico M3.

A new carbon fiber side panel design, an all-graphene midrange and bass driver design, and the phenomenal 28mm diamond coated beryllium tweeter, previously found only in the M-Project, all come together in what is the most sophisticated loudspeaker we have ever created.

Since the release of the M-Project in 2014, Alon Wolf and his engineering team have worked to expand upon the ground breaking designs that were first introduced in the critically acclaimed product which included the application of carbon side panels.

The new M6 represents the culmination of such efforts and a major advance in loudspeaker design. ProAc has redesigned the D18 using an upgraded cabinet with new bass loading, new crossover network and the ProAc ribbon tweeter used in other ProAc models.

This new exciting model is called the D20R and with the upgrades the sound quality has improved in all areas. Improvements comprise of a new cabinet with bass loading used in D30 and D40 models. A new crossover network and a ProAc ribbon tweeter as used in D30 D40 K6. The result is a wonderful open and expansive midrange with a substantial bass, ProAc ribbon tweeter giving sweet and detailed high frequencies, a large sound stage is also a bonus.

ProAc have updated the D30 to a D30S. Still available in a dome or ribbon tweeter – Response D30DS and D30RS respectively

ProAc have developed a new bass driver using a cone similar to that used in our Response D48, the cone is made from pulp and Mika and is coated with an acoustic dope it also now has a phase plug to improve detail at the crossover point, which will give a more natural sound.

Following the successful launch of the ProAc Tablette 10 ProAc have been developing a Tablette 10 Signature version. It has taken a great deal of time to design a new bass driver with Excel magnet system and their own solid copper phase plug. The result is a bass driver with the Tablette 10 cone material and special copper magnet system.

During the design of the Tablette 10 the LS3/5A, along with other mini monitors, were compared to the Tablette 10 and in our opinion the Tablette 10 had lower colouration. The Tablette 10 Signature shares the attributes of the Tablette 10 but has a larger more projected mid-range giving excellent sound stage with a feeling of size which, is often missing in small loudspeakers.

The K1 is a special stand mounted version of the K-series, using the Kevlar cone as in the K range and the tweeter is also our proven ribbon unit. Certain modifications have been made to the Cabinet, bass driver and tweeter to make it adaptable for us to be able to develop this to be suitable for a stand mounted loudspeaker.

Although the K1 is a stand mounted loudspeaker is has a surprisingly extended and accurate bass response with the usual beautiful midrange from the K series bass driver used within the K series.

The new Kevlar drive unit was developed for the K3 and has excellent weight to the bass as well as good extension with a detailed and uncoloured midrange. This new Kevlar unit would go into a new speaker called the K3, two of these units are used with our ribbon tweeter placed centrally in our K constructed cabinet. A high quality crossover was specially designed for the K3 to seamlessly mate with the ribbon tweeter and this new crossover uses high quality components split for bi-amping and bi-wiring and connected directly to the terminals.

As far as sound quality goes the K3 has a wonderfully electrostatic type of midrange very clear and detailed, with a dynamic bass response.

We are sure the K3 will give customers who desire music from full orchestral to loud rock the desired results with ease.

The K6 Signature uses a similar cabinet to the K6 being an excellent size with its tall slim design. The K6 Signature compared to the K6 is different in many ways firstly the drive unit layout has been designed to put the ribbon tweeter at ear level when in the seated position. It also has a new ProAc three inch midrange as opposed to the two inch one used in the K6.

The K6 Signature is designed to fulfil all audiophile’s desires when it comes to a true high end loudspeaker offering an impressively accurate sound reproduction that has an amazingly flat response throughout the frequency range. The K6 signature is an impressive addition to any audiophiles home and for the first time is exclusively also available in two new beautiful wood finishes.

The original Linton debuted in 1965 and the line continued in various iterations until the end of the 1970s. It was a classic model of its time, viewed as a serious hi-fi speaker but also relatively affordable. The new Linton has a clear family resemblance. It, too, is a three-way standmount model – a rarity in the modern era – retaining similar proportions to the classic Linton models. Its wood-veneered cabinet has a vintage look, yet the standard of finish is distinctly contemporary.

Denton 85th Anniversary is a two-way speaker in the classic bookshelf tradition, beautifully hand veneered in Mahogany by Wharfedale cabinet makers with an inset front baffle and traditional Tungsten cloth grille.

Underneath the traditional exterior, however, the Denton 85th Anniversary is bang up to date and utilises a mixture of traditional and advanced technology.
