Dynavector is highly regarded as a manufacturer of the finest high-performance moving coil phono cartridges and a unique bi-axial tonearm based on technically advanced theories and unique production technologies.
Dynavector has been creating innovatively designed moving coil cartridges since 1975. The music lover can be guaranteed listening pleasure at any price point.

The DV XX-1 was the first cartridge to feature a “magnetic flux damper” (patent) and softened magnetism” (patent) processes that reject the magnetic fluctuation that is detrimental to a moving coil cartridges performance.

The XX-2MKII exhibits deep powerful bass, treble is both clear and lively possessing none of the hardness found in many moving coil designs.
DV XX2 MKII technical specs
  • Output Voltage0.28mV (at 1KHz, 5cm/sec.)
  • Compliance10 mm/N
  • Tracking force1.8 - 2.2 g
  • Impedance
  • Recommended load impedance> 30Ω

In 1999 Dynavector released the revolutionary DRT XV-1 stereo cartridge that pioneered the unique topology that included 8 Alnico magnets, magnetically stable front yokes, square shaped front armature within the rather spectacular deep “v” shaped front elevation.
Combined with Dynavector’s patented “Flux Damping” this cartridge quickly became the worldwide benchmark for music lovers and the audio press alike.
DV DRT XV–1t technical specs
  • Output Voltage0.35mV (at 1KHz, 5cm/sec.)
  • Compliance10 mm/N
  • Tracking force 1.8 - 2.2 g
  • Impedance24Ω
  • Recommended load impedance> 75Ω

The original XV-1 cartridge was designed to take the reproduction of analogue recording to new heights. The XV-1 achieved a standard of performance that was clearly in a league of its own. Dynavector have always remained indifferent to the endless digital formats that proport to be the next breakthrough in music reproduction, safe in the knowledge that the vast heritage of music recorded on vinyl can easily equal, if not clearly out perform these new formats. Dynavector are seriously committed to ensure the vinyl enthusiast is well catered for and the XV-1s is further proof of this on going commitment; yet another ground breaking product, uniquely Dynavector and flagship of the brilliant Dynavector cartridge range.
DV DRT XV–1s technical specs
  • Output Voltage0.3mV (at 1KHz, 5cm/sec.)
  • Compliance10 mm/N
  • Tracking force 1.8 - 2.2 g
  • Impedance
  • Recommended load impedance> 30Ω
Te Kaitora Rua

The improved Te Kaitora Rua continues the journey by incorporating many of the newest features of its Dynavector stable-mates, the XV-1s and XX-2. The Te Kaitora Rua has even managed to improve on the original’s silk-like treble and openness.

Note: Te Kaitora means “The Discoverer” in the language of the NZ Maori people, Rua, is “the second version”.
Te Kaitora Rua technical specs
  • Output Voltage0.26mV (at 1KHz, 5cm/sec.)
  • Compliance10 mm/N

Drawing on Dynavector’s ‘dispersion theory’ that produced the original world first KARAT series Dynavector are indeed proud to announce the entirely new 17DX KARAT Diamond phono cartridge. As in the past KARAT series, the frequency response of the new KARAT 17DX at 20 to 20,000 Hz is ruler flat providing an extremely accurate groove tracking ability. However, several new features will ensure that the new 17DX will shortly gain the same legendary status and soon surpass its predecessors.
DV KARAT 17DX technical specs
  • Output Voltage0.3mV (at 1KHz, 5cm/sec.)
  • Compliance15mm/N
  • Tracking force1.8 - 2.0g
  • Impedance32Ω
  • Recommended load impedance> 100Ω

For more than 35 years Dynavector have established an enviable reputation for producing affordable high quality moving coil cartridges. Notably high output models that are designed to work with MM inputs negating the necessity for equipment change or the use of setup devices required for low output cartridges. The outstanding performance of the Dynavector high output moving coil cartridges can be attributed to the exclusively Dynavector designed coil winding machine capable of utilizing extremely fine coil wire providing a high output to mass ratio.

This cartridge is available in both high and low output versions.

  • Impedance150Ω / 5Ω
  • Recommended load impedance> 1000Ω / > 30Ω
DV10X5 MKII High/Low

First released in 1978 and recipient of the prestigious (at the time) Design and Engineering Award at the Chicago CES in both 1978 and 1981. The new Dynavector 10X5 MKII MC cartridge presents a new benchmark in High Output MC cartridge performance not requiring a step-up device or MC phono preamplifier.

The 10X5 is available in both high and low output versions.
