Kuzma Ltd first started production in 1982. Founded by Franc Kuzma, it was born of his interest in music combined with a mechanical engineers education which, together with experience working on acoustic transducers, culminated in an interest in producing high quality playback from records. The first product was a turntable of basic design with a classic belt drive and emphasis on ease of use. It was named STABI in recognition of one of its greatest strengths stability.
All Kuzma products share the same, no compromise design philosophy , in order to produce products which are simple to use, reliable and capable of the highest quality of analogue playback. This policy extends to the choice of only the highest quality materials and the high level of craftsmanship.
Differs from other tonearms by introducing several new and unique features. The new zero-play bearing is configured on 4 points.
The heart of this new design is the unique 4-point bearing. Two points (which are similar to a uni-pivot bearing) allow and control vertical movements of the tonearm. The other set of two pointed bearings allow and control horizontal (lateral) movements of the tonearm. All four points of the bearing have minimal friction and zero-play in all planes of movement, thus ensuring that the cartridge platform and the cartridge itself follow the grooves of an LP with extremely low friction and minimal vibrations.

This is a 9 inch tonearm with unipivot bearing design with a unique, rigid round headshell made from a solid aluminium block and a base of solid brass which control all vibration and facilitate stability of the tonearm as a whole. All parts of the arm are machined from blocks of solid metal, in order to provide damping and minimise resonance. The polished pivot point is sited in an oil well, which provides extremely low friction and bearing vibration. The bearing height is at record level for optimum tracking. The silicone damping controls resonance of the cartridge and also gives stability in azimuth direction.
While similar in construction to the Stogi, this tonearm incorporates a conical tube and the vertical bearings have highly damped brass housing. A conical tubeis machined from solid aluminum rod which has a built-in precise azimuth adjustment worm drive mechanism.
Tonearm geometry, bearing, wires and other parts are the same as Stogi and effective mass differs slightly.
Kuzma’s smallest turntable with a design approach normally found only in more expensive models. Its unique shape and construction of solid brass rods provide a rigid connection to platter, bearing and tonearm support. Black or Brass. Dust cover included.
A compact yet heavy turntable made from solid aluminum block with an internal electronic power supply. Drive is provided via a DC motor and a proprietary, non- flexible drive belt. The platter is a constrained sandwich design consisting of three layers (aluminum, acrylic, aluminum) to minimize vibration and maximize platter and lp damping. Black or silver with right hand armwing and armboard for Kuzma.
*shown in ‘double-wing’ configuration (optional)
This is constructed from two plates, each plate being made from a sandwich construction of two 10 mm aluminium plates, separated by an acrylic plate clamped together with pre-stressed, non-magnetic, stainless steel screws. The turntable chassis (top plate) is suspended by large springs submerged in silicone oil, with a low resonance of 2.2 Hz, which dampens movements of the springs themselves. The main base (bottom plate) is supported by three aluminium and stainless steel spikes. The top plate is easily levelled by four knobs. When this plate is lifted (for transport) the silicone suspension reservoirs are automatically sealed.
This is a modern turntable designed in a classic turntable style with the emphasis on providing the best possible record playback.
The turntable’s size allows even 12 inch tonearms to be mounted and covered with its massive acrylic dust cover on spring hinges . The dust cover is constructed not to pick up any vibration from loud music.
Differs from previous Stabi XL, XL2 and XL4 turntables by using a special DC motor, a machined plastic belt and a new power supply (PS DC), which gives a new, unique and uniformly precise drive to the platter. A new platter drive raises the turntable performance to a new level.
Kuzma CAR cartridges are made to our specifications by a Japanese company with over 50 years experience in this field. The same approach, with regard to design and manufacture of cartridges housings is used as in other Kuzma products. A combination of brass and aluminium parts made by us gives rigid and inert support to the signal generator, allowing the diamond tip to extract musical information from the record grooves without distortion.
